Conference Preconferences, Programs,  Poster Sessions and Constantly Updated Information: 

  • The conference keynote speech will be delivered by Ridley Pearson at 8:00 a.m., on Wednesday, November 15th.  He is also set to sign books at 10:15, and to speak again at 11 a.m.
  • Barbara Park, author of the Junie B. Jones series and 2006 winner of the Judy Goddard/Libraries Limited Award, will be signing books on Thursday, November 16, from 3-3:30pm. Ms. Park will sign up to 3 books per person, including a maximum of one book brought from home.

Opening Reception/AzLA Fundraiser:

More authors have been added to the gala Opening Reception and AzLA Fundraiser, Wednesday, 5:30-8!  Ten (10!) Arizona authors will sign your books!  Also, the exhibits will be open and refreshments will be served --all for $5.  Click here to see a flyer with the latest information.

Book Donation Project:

AzLA has decided to hold another book donation project at the conference and the Thomas J. Pappas School again will be the recipient.  Founded in 1990 as a one-room schoolhouse, Pappas has become a national model for addressing the specific and unique needs of children from homeless families.  Grades K-8 are served by the school.  Attendees may bring new books for children in this grade range to the conference or purchase them from our conference vendors and deposit them in the bin provided in the lobby.
