About the Division
The Public Library Division (PLD) of AzLA works to foster and promote activities that support public libraries and public library staff in Arizona, as well as encourage their development and growth.
The Public Library Division is the largest division of AzLA, and we are growing every day. Our purpose is to advance the cause of public library service to the people of Arizona. We are dedicated to improving library services and stimulating interest in and awareness of public libraries. We want to provide opportunities for interaction among public librarians that will foster an open environment for addressing and solving issues. Continuing education, networking and mentoring with other librarians is the key to keeping our public libraries a dynamic force within their communities.
Public Library Division members are encouraged to recruit new members.
Public Library Division members are also encouraged to submit articles about their library/library programs to the AzLA Newsletter.
AzLA members are welcome to join the Public Library Division Group.
