About the Division
What is a Special Library, you may ask? "Special librarians are information resource experts who collect, analyze, evaluate, package, and disseminate information to facilitate accurate decision-making in corporate, academic, and government settings."
SLD works to promote special libraries and librarianship in Arizona and to facilitate networking and cooperation among Arizona special library organizations and librarians. We also coordinate with the Arizona Chapter of the Special Libraries Association, and provide advice and mentoring to graduate students at the University of Arizona's School of Information.

SLD members are encouraged to recruit new members, and are encouraged to submit articles about their library/library programs to the AzLA Newsletter.
