Call for Proposals

2015 AzLA Conference: Libraries: Making Connections

The Arizona Library Association is excited to announce our first ever Annual Conference in Northern Arizona!  The Call for Proposals is now open for the 2015 AzLA Annual Conference, to be held at the High Country Conference Center in Flagstaff, November 18 – 20, 2015.  All library and information professionals are invited to submit their ideas for this year’s conference.  Submissions may be made from the conference website, at:

 Conference Theme

The 2015 conference theme is “Making Connections.”  “Good book seeks reader.” “Unemployed seeks computer literacy.” “World traveler seeks foreign language skills.” “Student seeks reliable information.” “eReader seeks downloadable book.”

Librarians are the matchmakers that bring individuals, communities, and resources together.  Whether it is done high tech, low tech, through social media or in person—librarians know how to match the best resource or program to the patron, student or community group in need. We connect through technology, collaboration, and great customer service. How are your library and staff serving as the “Great Connectors” of your community? How do you find and serve your community’s needs? How do you nourish the connections you have while seeking to serve more diverse populations? Share your matchmaking success stories, your best practices, innovations, and ideas for making connections in your community. Continue “Making Connections” as you learn, network and share with your colleagues at this year’s AzLA Conference in Flagstaff.
