As the COVID pandemic forced libraries and educational institutions to abruptly shift their services to online and hybrid modalities, library staff were facing new and pressing copyright questions from their patrons and colleagues. Thanks to a generous grant from the Betty and Gordon Moore foundation, the STAR Library Network will support state and public libraries for the 2023 annular solar eclipse and 2024 total solar eclipse by providing solar eclipse glasses, solar science kits, and in-person and virtual training.
