Presenter: Amadee Ricketts, Cochise County Library District, Director

Date/Time: Thursday, October 19, 10:00 am - 11:00 am

Room: Ballroom

Program Description

In early 2023, nearly 400 library colleagues shared their experiences as part of a survey on adverse work experiences in libraries. The results closely aligned with recent literature on the subject and offer insight for library leaders and workers on creating and maintaining healthy workplaces, surviving back workplaces, and moving on from adverse experiences. After this session, participants will be able to:

  • Identify three common types of adverse work experiences in libraries
  • Describe three categories of red flags to watch out for when job seeking
  • Access recent literature and resources on this topic
