Program Description:

The Labriola National American Indian Data Center is an Indigenous-led library at Arizona State University that is dedicated to supporting cultural resilience for Indigenous students and Tribal communities in their library programming and services. This presentation will focus on how the Labriola defines and implements cultural resiliency practices in the library. 

Presenters:

Eric Hardy is Diné (Navajo). He is born of the Bitter Water Clan and for the Weaver Clan. Eric is currently the Senior Program Coordinator for the Labriola National American Indian Data Center at ASU. Prior to the Labriola, Eric had worked with 20 plus tribes to implement culturally adapted chronic disease prevention projects, where he provided leadership and technical assistance to create Indigenous centered Public Health programs. He holds a Bachelor’s in American Indian Studies from Arizona State University and is currently pursuing his Master’s in AIS at ASU.

Yitazba Largo-Anderson is Program Coordinator at the Labriola National American Indian Data Center at Arizona State University West Campus. She is an artist and advocate for education and Indigenous centered ways of learning.
